MESYS Software for mechanical engineering
MESYS AG in Zurich (Switzerland) develops software for technical calculations in mechanical engineering. The main focus is the sizing of machine elements like gears, shafts, bolts, rolling bearings and more. In addition to standardized software also custom software is developed. Let us update your old software.
We also support you in design of machine elements especially for gears or we can do ratings according different standards using modern calculation software.
MESYS software is currently used by customers from 32 countries on 4 continents.
Rolling Bearing Calculation
The MESYS rolling bearing calculation determines the load distribution within the bearing and the bearing life according ISO 16281. Therefore the influence of tilting angles or bearing clearance on bearing life can be evaluated.
Shaft Systems
The shaft system calculation allows the calculation of shaft systems with coupling of shafts by gears or belts. Load spectra, natural frequencies on system level and interfaces to gear calculation programs extend the possibilities of the shaft calculation.
Cylindrical Gear Pairs
Calculation of gear geometry and strength according to ISO 6336 as standalone program of integrated into the shaft system calculation.
Shaft Calculation
The shaft calculation allows the calculation of coaxial shaft systems considering nonlinear stiffness of rolling bearings. Shaft strength calculation according to DIN 743 and calculation of natural frequencies are available too.
Axial-Radial-Roller Bearings
The FEA based calculation for axial-radial-roller bearings allows to consider the deformation of rings for the load distribution within the bearing. Axial-, radial-, angular- and cross-roller bearings are supported so far.

Demo versions and documentation are available under Downloads. Please request a license file for a test version without functional restrictions for an evaluation.
Ball Screws
The load distribution and life of ball screws is calculated similar to ISO 16281. This allows to consider radial forces and moment load in addition to axial forces.
FEA-Integration
The FEA-Integration in the shaft calculation allows to consider more accurate stiffness using 3D-elastic parts for shafts, housings and planet carriers. Elastic bearing rings and elastic gear bodies are supported.

Rolling bearing stiffness for FEA calculations
The MESYS Rolling Bearing Calculation provides tangential stiffness matrices and compliance matrices for rolling bearings. An example of a tangential stiffness matrix for a 6204-C3 deep groove ball bearing with a radial load of 2 kN is shown here: ux [µm] uy [µm] uz...
