The GearEngineer from GWJ Technology enables the calculation and export of the real tooth geometries of cylindrical gears, bevel gears and spiral bevel gears. These tooth geometries in IGES or STEP format can be used for manufacturing gear teeth on universal milling machines.
The geometry of cylindrical gears includes the specified profile and flank line modifications as well as the root fillet defined by the cutting tool. Bevel gears are calculated through a manufacturing simulation and therefore also include the micro geometry modifications determined by the tool and machine parameters. In addition to the calculation of the 3D geometry, the software also provides strength calculations according to DIN/ISO standards as well as tooth contact analysis without load.
The GearEngineer is the right tool for generating 3D geometry for the manufacturing of gears. For the representation of gears within a CAD model, the interfaces provided by eAssistant are also sufficient.
