# Strength calculation

The method for shaft strength calculation can be selected. Currently, only [DIN 743 (2012)](bibliography.md#din_743_1) is available. It can be selected if the calculation should be done considering infinite or finite life. For finite life the number of cycles is calculated using the input for “Required life”.
