# Profile shift coefficient

The profile shift coefficient defines a shift of the tool profile during manufacturing. A positive profile shift leads to larger tooth thickness.

Using the  (./images/all_img3.png)-button the profile shift can be calculated from measured values and proposals based on balanced specific sliding are shown.
