# Calculate COa according to ISO 3408-5

If this option is selected, the static load capacity is calculated according to [ISO 3408-5](bibliography.md#iso_3408-5). In this case, material properties like Young's modulus have no effect on the static load capacity.

If the option is not selected the static load capacity is calculated according to [ISO 3408-5](bibliography.md#iso_3408-5), but using f0 according to [ISO/TR 10657](bibliography.md#iso_tr_10657) instead of k0. In this case, the static load capacity is based on a permissible contact stress of 4200 MPa as for axial ball bearings according to [ISO 76](bibliography.md#iso_76).
